Inside our resortChad and I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary. My mom came up and watched the boys for the week. We left Denver at 1 in the morning on Friday May 21, had a layover in Atlanta for a couple hrs before landing in the Dominican Republic at 1:30. We lounged on the Beach for a couple of days before going on some excursions. Monday we went on an Outback Safari. It took us up into the hills to see the "Real" Dominican Republic. We got to stop at a school, a coffee and Coco bean plantation, Watch some Cigar rolling, then lunch and an hour on the beach boogie boarding! Our Tour guide had been doing it for 30 years and knew his history of the country very well. Tuesday we went on a Marinarium, or a glass bottom boat. They took you out a ways then you got to jump off and go snorkeling and take pictures holding a sting ray. Then you boated along the coast line and stopped in a cove were we jumped into about chest deep water with a floating bar and Bob Marley music. On the way back there was lots of dancing on the boat. The other days we put in a couple of miles walking up and down the beaches, visiting shops, meeting new friends, and going to different shows that they put on each night. It did manage to rain ever day but the day we arrived and the day we left. So we didn't' get as much sun as we had hoped, but despite the rain we still had a great time. We look forwarding to hopefully going again and taking all of you with us! You have to pay your own way though! We flew out on Thusday at 2:30, and Landed in Denver 11:10, grabbed a motel for a couple of hrs and then headed home to see our boys, and of course my mom! Thanks again mom, we really appriciated it.
